Word Processing

Objective

Learn the basics of Microsoft's Word with hands-on, step-by-step exercises. Topics include: ribbon toolbars; page setup; selecting, editing and moving within a document; office clipboard; cut, copy & paste; spelling & grammar checking; character & paragraph formatting; tab stops & tables; manual page breaks; page numbers; numbered & bulleted lists; multiple columns; headers & footers; insert, resize & move pictures; find & replace; printing.


Software used

This course uses Microsoft Word 2010 and Windows 10. Word is the word processing program contained in Microsoft Office.

Requirements

Students should have completed Computer Basics and Beyond Basics or have equivalent knowledge of Windows PC operations. Some typing ability is also desired. Students must bring their own flash/thumb/USB drive to each class.
