No Program for December 2008. Next SIG is Tuesday, January 27, 2009 from 7-9 pm.

Taking Portrait Shots.

For the January meeting, I hope to have professional photographer Leonard Gay from Morehead give a presentation on how to take portrait shots with emphasis on lighting. Leonard is a member of the Morehead Art Guild and a member of the Lexington Creative Camera Club. He has won several awards in their contests.

The “Photo Contest of the Month” topic is "Weather". Resample your images so the largest size is no more than 500 pixels and e-mail them to joedietz@aol.com. Put photo contest in the subject line.

So please join us on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 7 PM.

Photo of the month Competition

Here are the new topics for 2009
January - Weather , February - Black and White, March - Automobiles, April - Macros, May - Flowers, June - Hands, August - Emotion September - Birds, October - Architectural Detail, November - Portraits, January 09 - TBA.

Guidelines for our Photo-of-the-Month competition

1. All members of CKCS can submit one photo each to our Photo-of-the-Month competition.
2. No photo that has already won a prize at one of our competitions can be re-submitted. That includes our ”Hall-of-Fame” Exhibits.
3. The size of the submitted photo should not exceed 500 pixels for the larger side.
4. The photos will be submitted to the SIG leader at least a day before the SIG meeting. The names of the photographer will not be known to the voters until after the vote has taken place. The SIG Leader who knows the names will be excluded from voting.
5. Every member present at the meeting votes for only one photo.
